Description
EventModeling is becoming more and more popular these days. But what exactly is behind this new approach for modeling, designing, and building information systems? Some people say Event Modeling is just Event Storming, CQRS & Event Sourcing with UI Mockups, some Example Mapping, and a hint of Domain-Driven Design. Others say by applying some useful constraints and opinions to all of these, the result is more simplicity and efficiency. This seems to be true especially when looking at an Event Model from different perspectives. It can be simple and domain language-compatible enough for business stakeholders while also being versatile enough for developers and UX/UI people to make for a complete application blueprint. By using the new, dedicated Event Modeling tool "oNote" combined with purely serverless technology and configuration as real code (AWS CDK), we can rapidly develop applications like never before. In this talk, Andreas will give an introduction to Event Modeling and show a simple example of how to build an eventmodeled, serverless application from scratch.
